Accelleron Industries seeks a Senior IS Application Owner for SAP Security, License & Authorization (80-100%) in Baden, CH. The role involves managing SAP security across ECC and S/4HANA, leading the security workstream in the Phoenix transformation, and ensuring compliance through access controls and audits.
This position is responsible for planning, designing, and governing SAP security and authorization frameworks across the enterprise, serving as the IS Workstream Lead within the S/4HANA transformation program Phoenix. It requires technical expertise, governance focus, and collaboration with stakeholders to align security with business and transformation goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage SAP roles, profiles, and authorizations in ECC and S/4HANA environments, adhering to the principle of least privilege.
- Handle user provisioning and de-provisioning requests according to internal procedures to ensure secure and timely access.
- Use SAP GRC Access Control to enforce Segregation of Duties (SoD) and other compliance requirements.
- Perform regular access reviews and SoD risk assessments, coordinating remediation for any violations.
- Integrate security requirements into solution design during fit-to-standard workshops and design phases in the Phoenix program.
- Monitor SAP security logs and events for unusual activity or potential breaches.
- Investigate and resolve SAP security incidents and access-related issues, supporting end-users promptly.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and controls.
- Create and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and access controls.
- Support internal and external audits by providing evidence of SAP security compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve SAP security and streamline access management.
- Own license management and measurements across platforms, ensuring transparency in user and license usage.
- Collaborate with business process owners, functional teams, and IT to understand access needs and implement secure solutions.
- Provide training or guidance to internal teams on SAP security practices.
Requirements
- Approximately 8–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Security administration or similar roles within S/4HANA transformation projects.
- Strong knowledge of SAP on-premises security, including PFCG role design, authorization objects, profile generation, and SAP security tables.
- Expertise in SAP S/4HANA security architecture, role design, authorization frameworks, SAP BTP Security, SAP Cloud Identity Services, and SAP IAG.
- Proven experience with SAP GRC Access Control, including user provisioning and access risk analysis.
- Familiarity with SoD conflict handling and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience with GRC system migrations, particularly from NetWeaver-based GRC to GRC on S/4HANA.
- Background in role redesign and authorization cleanup, including mass role migration and regression testing.
- Experience delivering SAP Security solutions in large ERP transformation programs.
- Solid understanding of IT general controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX) as they relate to SAP security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and explain security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken).
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP Fiori security and HANA database privileges.
- Familiarity with Xiting SAP security tools, such as the Xiting Authorizations Management Suite.
- Knowledge of GRC integration with SAP IdM, Active Directory, or cloud identity providers (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD).
- Experience supporting internal or external audit processes.
- Good German language skills.
