E-GENERALI seeks an IT Governance & Operations Specialist to bridge IT, business units, and external partners, focusing on process optimization, data governance, and digital transformation within a hybrid work model.

This position serves as a key liaison for the Transformation Office, connecting IT departments with business stakeholders and external vendors. The role is designed for professionals who combine technical expertise with a pragmatic approach to solving business challenges, ensuring that IT initiatives align effectively with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators to support operational quality.
  • Assess and manage IT-related risks, including contributions to cloud security strategies.
  • Define data governance structures, assign responsibilities, and promote high data quality standards.
  • Organize training and information sessions to introduce new technologies and enhance digital collaboration.
  • Analyze current workflows to identify opportunities for optimizing processes, tools, and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement concrete improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate outsourcing activities and maintain professional relationships with external service providers.
  • Conduct due diligence assessments in partnership with relevant internal departments.
  • Support procurement processes by ensuring adherence to internal compliance guidelines.
  • Coordinate legal aspects of contracts in alignment with internal legal experts.
  • Maintain and develop business continuity processes.
  • Ensure the IT inventory is accurately structured and up to date.
  • Contribute to company-wide digital transformation projects, such as corporate website renewals.

Requirements

  • A degree in business informatics or a comparable field of study.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in IT operations, data management, governance, or process optimization.
  • A broad technical understanding with a strong interest in IT operations and process design.
  • A structured working style with the ability to prioritize tasks independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset when working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-driven solutions, with the ability to identify practical AI use cases for improving processes and decision-making.

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies, outsourcing, or IT risk management.
  • Familiarity with modern IT systems such as Azure, AWS, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, or Jira.
  • Relevant certifications like Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, COBIT, or cloud-specific credentials.
  • Experience working in regulated industries, such as financial services or insurance.
