Bhend Elektroplan GmbH in Zürich seeks a Senior Layout Engineer to integrate plant design elements including equipment, piping, and structures. The role requires 5+ years of experience in plant layout, proficiency in Aveva E3D/PDMS and other engineering tools, and fluency in English.
This role serves as the integrator for assigned plant sections, coordinating between disciplines such as equipment placement, piping, steel structures, foundations, and air ducts to ensure cohesive design execution.
Responsibilities
- Design layouts for systems including equipment, piping, ducts, and steel structures, including supporting concepts
- Develop, revise, and verify planning documents like layout plans, load tables, and EoD
- Ensure all work aligns with internal company standards, process engineering needs, applicable codes (e.g. EN or ASME), and contract specifications
- Collaborate with the project team and third parties during planning meetings
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in engineering tools: Aveva E3D/PриMS, MS Office, Navisworks Simulate or Manage, and AutoCad
- Minimum 5 years of experience in plant or layout design for facilities such as EfW, WtX/PtX, RG, power plants, oil & gas, or industrial projects, including structural, mechanical, piping, and equipment arrangement
- Fluent English skills in both writing and speaking
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master’s in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of German or French is advantageous
