Senior Electronic Board Layout Designer

Akkodis Switzerland SA seeks a Senior Electronic Board Layout Designer in Lausanne to lead PCB development for airborne applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering manufacturing-ready files.

This position is responsible for managing the complete PCB development lifecycle in close coordination with project stakeholders. The designer must evaluate and address the technical requirements and constraints provided by RF, hardware, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create PCB designs that adhere to airborne industry best practices, Viasat processes, and checklists.
• Prepare and deliver the complete set of manufacturing files for both PCB and PCBA.
• Release manufacturing documentation in Viasat's Oracle-Agile document control system, following established procedures.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience designing complex, 12+ layer PCBs in highly regulated sectors such as aerospace, space, automotive, or medical.
• Proficiency in Altium365, including hierarchical design, PCB layout replication, working with rooms, and copying room formats.
• Expertise in high-speed ethernet, FPGA, low noise fast transient power supply, and mixed-signal layout.
• Strong library management skills.
• Knowledge of Quality by Design and Design for Manufacturing/Assembling/Testing/Maintenance principles.
• Clear and concise English communication skills, both oral and written.
