Intern – Electronics & PCB Design

Speedgoat GmbH seeks an intern for electronics and PCB design in Liebefeld. The role supports hardware engineering teams with schematic design, layout, and documentation for HIL systems.

The company is looking for a student or recent graduate to join the Hardware Design team within the HIL Systems department. This position focuses on supporting the creation of customer-specific hardware-in-the-loop test systems and modular signal conditioning platforms, providing practical experience in electronics engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating schematics for signal conditioning, connectivity, and system electronics.
• Update and maintain component libraries, footprints, and symbols within the design database.
• Participate in PCB layout tasks and design reviews under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Produce and revise cable drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical design documents for various assemblies.
• Help develop analog and digital circuits for functions like amplification, isolation, level shifting, and switching.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, embedded systems, or a related field, or possessing equivalent practical experience.
• A strong passion for hands-on electronics, PCB design, circuit simulation, and physical hardware.
• Foundational understanding of analog and digital circuit principles.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
• Must be a citizen of a Schengen-Area country.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to ECAD software, particularly Altium Designer.
• Ability to communicate in German.
