ID Quantique seeks a Manager Facilities to oversee operations across Geneva, Lausanne, and production sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient working environments for quantum technology development.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager within the Global Real Estate and Site Services team, this position is responsible for the operational and infrastructural management of ID Quantique’s Swiss locations. The role ensures that the Geneva headquarters, production facility, and Lausanne satellite office provide safe, efficient, and well-maintained environments that support the company’s quantum technology advancements.
Responsibilities
- Direct facilities operations across three Swiss sites, guaranteeing adherence to safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
- Enhance operational performance by overseeing preventative maintenance, vendor management, budgeting, health and safety protocols, physical security, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the local facilities staff, fostering strong relationships with employees, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, handle facilities requests, monitor contractor performance, conduct site inspections, manage minor refurbishments, and handle purchasing and administrative tasks.
- Take ownership of physical security, access control systems, emergency response procedures, occupational health and safety (KOPAS), regulatory compliance, and business continuity plans for Geneva locations.
- Provide hands-on support by performing minor repairs, addressing operational issues promptly, and assisting the broader facilities team as needed.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, manage vendor relationships and projects, oversee security measures, and ensure all sites comply with Swiss regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years in facilities management or operations, complemented by a technical background and formal qualifications in Facilities Management, building services, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing facilities in industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or other technical settings.
- Strong organizational, communication, and IT capabilities, along with a hands-on mindset, experience using facilities management software, and a valid Category B driving license.
- Fluency in both English and French.

- Background in technology, research, or life sciences organizations.
- Familiarity with physical security systems and team leadership experience.
- German language proficiency and knowledge of access control or CCTV systems.
- Prior experience supervising facilities or support staff and developing high-performing teams.
