Manager - Insurance Consulting (P&C Retail & Commercial)

PwC seeks a Manager to lead business transformation strategies for P&C insurance clients in Zürich. The role focuses on digital initiatives, process optimization, and technology adoption to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.

This position sits within a rapidly expanding insurance consulting group dedicated to steering significant industry shifts. The role requires providing strategic direction to help clients achieve lasting growth, improve operations, and elevate customer experiences. As part of a technology-driven and people-focused network, the roleholder supports clients in building and maintaining momentum across various advisory services including audit, tax, and legal.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the creation and implementation of business transformation plans for insurance clients.
• Partner with senior leaders to synchronize organizational objectives with digital projects, process improvements, and new technology adoption.
• Detect operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies within insurance workflows.
• Deploy streamlined processes, automation tools, and digital solutions to boost efficiency and lower expenses.
• Advance customer-focused projects using data analytics, journey mapping, and personalized engagement strategies.
• Improve client satisfaction, retention, and loyalty through creative problem-solving and innovative approaches.
• Assess the potential impact of emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and IoT on insurance operations, while coordinating with IT departments to roll out digital solutions.
• Promote a culture of agility and adaptability to support organizational change.
• Support teams during transitions to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
• Share industry insights through articles, webinars, and presentations to strengthen the firm’s market position.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in consulting or a senior insurance role within the P&C (Retail or Commercial) sector.
• Master’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in change management, project management, or digital transformation are preferred.
• Deep understanding of the Swiss insurance market landscape.
• Strong ability to visualize and communicate a clear vision for the future of insurance organizations.
• Proficiency in using data analysis to inform strategic choices.
• Proven track record of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to challenge traditional insurance methods and continuously develop technical expertise.
• Fluent proficiency in both English and German.
