Manager - Risk Consulting (Trade, Industry and non-financial Services)

PwC Switzerland seeks a Manager for Risk Consulting in Zürich to lead internal controls and audit projects for Trade, Industry, and non-financial services clients.

This position sits within the Risk Consulting and Forensics division, focusing on the Trade, Industry, and non-financial services sector. The role involves guiding organizations through complex regulatory environments, strengthening governance structures, and managing forensic or compliance initiatives. Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end internal controls initiatives, covering strategy, design, testing, remediation, and executive reporting.
• Execute data-focused internal audit assignments, moving from risk assessment through implementation to clear communication of results.
• Mentor and direct consulting staff, promoting professional development and maintaining a supportive team atmosphere.
• Build and maintain lasting client partnerships, ensuring high satisfaction levels within the TIS sector.
• Identify new business opportunities, craft proposals, and lead client presentations to drive growth.
• Refine internal methodologies, tools, and operational best practices to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of five years in internal controls, audit, or risk management, ideally within a consulting setting, including at least two years in a leadership capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of auditing standards, SOX compliance, financial reporting, and control frameworks such as COSO.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on identifying core issues and delivering practical solutions.
• Adaptable, hands-on approach with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are advantageous.
• Proficiency in German is highly valued.
• Experience using data analytics software is beneficial.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms, internal audit software, or internal control systems is preferred.
