Manager Warehouse

The Warehouse Manager at Incyte in Yverdon-Les-Bains oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with GMP/GDP standards and optimizing material flow to manufacturing.

This position is accountable for the secure and compliant management of all warehouse activities. The role guarantees that materials move smoothly from receiving and storage to manufacturing staging, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Supply Chain & Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily warehouse activities such as receiving goods, storing items, managing stock, picking orders, and preparing materials for manufacturing.
• Organize daily tasks and assign resources to fulfill operational needs.
• Track daily progress, address operational challenges quickly, and eliminate workflow bottlenecks.
• Improve warehouse procedures and layouts to boost throughput, storage efficiency, and space usage.
• Guarantee full adherence to GMP standards, GDP principles, and internal standard operating procedures.
• Maintain full lot traceability and ensure all physical and ERP/WMS transactions are accurate and recorded in real time.
• Verify inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
• Act as the main warehouse contact during quality audits and inspections.
• Manage investigations for warehouse deviations, oversee CAPAs, and work with QA to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Guide, mentor, and develop warehouse staff to perform operations safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Establish, implement, and track warehouse KPIs such as dock-to-stock time, staging performance, inventory accuracy, picking productivity, warehouse capacity utilization, and documentation compliance.
• Analyze operational performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve execution.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of GMP and GDP regulations in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing.
• Proven experience handling temperature-controlled and cold-chain materials.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/WMS systems, particularly SAP or SAP EWM.
• Solid grasp of inventory control and warehouse execution processes.
