Sqli1 in Zürich seeks a Mid-Senior Network & Container Platform Engineer to design and support container-based network infrastructures. The role involves Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and enterprise networking integration, with a focus on security, automation, and hybrid environments.
The Network & Container Platform Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining network services that support modern containerized applications, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable connectivity across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance container networking architectures using Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Plan IP address management, network segmentation, routing, and ingress/egress strategies.
- Maintain secure connections between clusters, nodes, and external services.
- Set up and manage container networking plugins and enforce zero-trust network policies.
- Integrate container platforms with enterprise networking components such as firewalls, DNS, load balancers, and proxies.
- Automate and build connectivity solutions across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud infrastructures.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure operations meet SLA requirements.
- Apply network security controls and assist with compliance and risk management initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong communication, decision-making, and collaboration abilities, including conflict resolution.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of firewall technologies, particularly CheckPoint.
- Experience with KVM solutions and network service delivery.
Nice to have
- Fluent oral and written communication in English, German, and/or French is beneficial.
- Experience in a Scaled Agile environment is advantageous.
- Prior hands-on experience with Extreme Network products (77xx, 75xx, 74xx, 5420) and knowledge of the Extreme Fabric concept are strong assets.
