Chair Airlines seeks a Senior Nominated Person for Ground Operations in Zürich to lead the department, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage cargo and ground handling services.

Responsibilities
- Provide full leadership and strategic development for the Ground Operations department.
- Guarantee that all ground activities meet safety, efficiency, and legal standards set by EASA, ICAO, IATA, FOCA, and national bodies.
- Maintain technical oversight of ground processes, ensuring alignment with GOM, OM-A, and OMM documentation.
- Drive continuous improvements in operational workflows to enhance quality, safety, punctuality, and efficiency.
- Serve as the Cargo Manager, overseeing COMAIL operations, cargo acceptance, handling, and strict adherence to dangerous goods regulations.
- Manage, monitor, and evaluate Ground Handling Service Providers to ensure consistent compliance at all network stations.
- Hold budgetary responsibility for the entire Ground Operations division.
- Advise the Accountable Manager on operational performance, safety, compliance, resource allocation, and long-term strategy.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of European and Swiss aviation laws, including EASA and FOCA rules, alongside ICAO and IATA standards.
- Deep expertise in airline ground operations processes and daily workflows.
- Proven experience implementing and managing Safety, Compliance, and Security Management Systems.
- Several years of leadership experience within Ground Operations, preferably in an airline or similar aviation setting.
- Strong professional network within the Zurich airport ecosystem and familiarity with local operational stakeholders.
- Minimum five years in Airline Operations, with at least two years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Legal eligibility to work in Switzerland, including Swiss citizenship, EU/EFTA status, or a valid work permit.
