Ramboll Switzerland seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage compliant payroll operations for Denmark and Sweden within a global team.
This position serves as the primary subject matter expert for Nordic payroll, ensuring accurate and timely delivery across Denmark and Sweden. As part of a global Payroll & Benefits organization, the specialist acts as the escalation point for complex matters and drives process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Tier 2 payroll support and guidance for the end-to-end cycle in Denmark and Sweden.
- Monitor and interpret changes in local legislation, including taxation, social security, pensions, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, local leadership, and external vendors to resolve complex issues, support audits, and enhance service quality.
- Manage vendor performance, investigate system interfaces, and lead initiatives for automation and process improvement.
- Create and maintain local documentation, knowledge articles, and employee guidance to ensure standardization and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Proven payroll experience with specific practical expertise in Denmark and Sweden.
- Solid understanding of income tax, social security, pension administration, and the impact of collective agreements on payroll.
- Experience collaborating with outsourced payroll providers and supporting compliance, controls, and audit activities.
- Fluent English proficiency with strong communication skills.

- Ability to communicate in Danish and/or Swedish.
