Andermatt Swiss Alps seeks a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations, lead system migration, and ensure compliance with Swiss regulations in a hybrid role based in Andermatt.
This position is central to the organization's payroll transformation efforts, supporting the move to a new system while enhancing process efficiency through automation and digitalization. The specialist co-leads the design, implementation, and stabilization of payroll structures, particularly in response to organizational and legal entity changes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complete payroll cycles for multiple entities, guaranteeing precision, punctuality, and adherence to all legal, tax, and regulatory standards.
- Independently handle monthly and year-end payroll executions across various business units.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, including reconciliation and validation procedures, to preserve data integrity.
- Administer social insurance and pension affairs, managing annual reconciliations, absence-related benefits, and compensation fund settlements.
- Act as a reliable consultant for HR teams, managers, and staff regarding payroll inquiries, social insurance, and related topics.
- Examine payroll data and emerging trends to facilitate reporting, strategic decision-making, and ongoing process optimization.
Requirements
- A background in commercial studies, business administration, or payroll, preferably supplemented by further education in Human Resources, Social Insurance, or a related discipline.
- Several years of hands-on experience in payroll administration, ideally within complex, multi-entity environments.
- Deep understanding of Swiss payroll accounting practices, social insurance laws, and reconciliation methodologies.
- High proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management and clear communication, combined with a reliable, service-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in German at a C1/C2 level and an intermediate command of English (B1).
Nice to have
- Prior involvement in payroll transformations, process improvement projects, system implementations, or digitalization efforts.
- Familiarity with the Mirus payroll system.
- Additional language capabilities beyond the core requirements.
