Givaudan seeks a Planning Compounding Team Lead in Vernier for a 1-year contract. The role oversees raw material and production planning, manages a team, and ensures supply chain efficiency and compliance.
This position is responsible for directing the raw material and production planning functions for compounding activities at the Vernier site. The role aims to optimize cycle times, inventory levels, and site productivity while ensuring strict adherence to EHS requirements to guarantee timely customer supply. The incumbent reports directly to the Planning Manager.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute tactical and operational plans to achieve local operations goals.
- Establish planning standards with production teams and enforce schedule adherence.
- Lead a team of planners for raw materials and compound production, ensuring efficient daily operations.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage write-offs to meet service and cost targets.
- Ensure timely responses to Customer Care inquiries.
- Develop short-term material supply and capacity plans.
- Analyze planning performance and implement best practices to improve KPIs.
- Track and define actions to maintain or enhance site planning performance indicators.
- Serve as the escalation point for problem resolution, complaints, and order prioritization.
- Monitor team workload and calendars to maintain balance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in the division, GBS, Replenishment, R&F, Supply Planning, and Logistics.
- Lead, manage, and develop the Planning Compounding teams, including talent pipeline and succession planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Fluency in both English and French.
- At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a strong background in supply chain planning, quality, and/or materials management.
- Experience with business process redesign and systems implementations.
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience.
- Expertise in ERP/MRP systems.
Nice to have
- MBA or Master's Degree in a Technical field.
- APICS Certification.
- Strong affinity to systems and analytical tools, particularly SAP, BI, and BO.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
