Visium, an enterprise AI company in life sciences, seeks a Senior Platform Engineer in Lausanne, CH, for a full-time hybrid role. You’ll build and own the platform ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across customer cloud environments, supporting AI products in regulated settings.
This role involves building and owning the core platform that enables Visium’s products to operate reliably, securely, and at scale across customer cloud environments. You’ll manage infrastructure across regulated environments with unique compliance and data residency needs, working closely with engineering to create foundational abstractions and reliability standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure on Azure (primary) and AWS using Pulumi and Terraform
- Create and manage container orchestration for agentic AI services, data pipelines, and API backends
- Architect and maintain a dual-deployment SaaS model for secure, isolated deployments within customer cloud tenants
- Implement security controls, data residency rules, and audit trails aligned with GxP and SOC 2 standards
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable safe and reliable software delivery
- Set up and manage observability systems including monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing
- Participate in incident response and lead post-incident reviews
- Develop infrastructure abstractions that improve developer experience and engineering speed
Requirements
- Strong background in software engineering, especially backend systems, with deep infrastructure expertise
- Practical experience with Azure (required) and AWS
- Proficiency in Pulumi (preferred) or Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Extensive Kubernetes experience in deployment, scaling, observability, and reliability
- Solid knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Comfort with Python and scripting for automation tasks
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
- Autonomous, proactive, and committed to system reliability
Nice to have
- Experience deploying software within customer cloud tenants or managed application models
- Familiarity with GxP, SOC 2, HIPAA, or other regulated industry compliance standards
- Background in multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure
- Specific experience with Pulumi
