Platform Engineer

Xapo seeks a Mid-level Platform Engineer to enhance and maintain its cloud-native platform, focusing on automation and self-service tools to support developer efficiency. The role is fully remote in CH, with a focus on reliability, observability, and continuous improvement.

This position involves improving and maintaining Xapo’s cloud-native platform to empower developers through self-service tools and automation, contributing to increased developer velocity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a guardian and enhancer of the existing developer platform.
• Maintain and upgrade the cloud-native infrastructure.
• Expand self-service features so engineering teams can manage resources and workflows independently.
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual effort, boost reliability, and improve developer productivity.
• Ensure the platform remains observable, scalable, and secure as it evolves.
• Monitor infrastructure and proactively address issues to meet performance and availability goals.
• Maintain 24/7 service availability and operational integrity, including participation in a compensated on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in platform engineering with relevant technical skills.
• Solid understanding of technologies used in automated, self-service platforms.
• A dedicated, quiet workspace.
• A reliable, high-speed internet connection.
• Devices and equipment meeting minimum technical requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
• Ability to spot automation opportunities within technical solutions.
