Postdoc in ML-Based Co-Design at EPFL

The role is a postdoctoral fellowship within the EPFL computer vision lab. The role focuses on co-design for aerodynamic shape and control. A potential target application is the design of model gliders for FAI competitions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on co-design for aerodynamic shape and control.
  • Perform state-of-the-art research at a dynamic scientific institution.
  • Interact with internationally renowned experts and a strong team of postdoctoral researchers and PhD students.

Requirements

  • Hold a doctorate in a Machine-Learning related field.
  • Possess deep knowledge of Control Theory, both classical and deep learning based.
  • Have a solid publication record in top level ML venues such as NeurIPs, ICML, and ICLR.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with aerodynamics and aircraft design.
