Postdoctoral Researcher - Forest Management and Economics

ETH Zurich seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher in Forest Management and Economics for a fixed-term, on-site role in Zürich. The position focuses on interdisciplinary research, teaching, and project development within the FORM group.

Responsibilities

• Investigate methods for understanding, monitoring, modelling, and managing forests now and in the future.
• Integrate forest ecology, management, remote sensing, decision support, risk analysis, economics, and stakeholder-oriented approaches.
• Participate in teaching activities for the Department of Environmental Systems Science, including courses, practicals, and fieldwork.
• Guide and mentor students to support their academic progress.
• Develop and secure research projects, publish findings, and broaden professional connections.
• Build expertise in academic leadership and project management.
