Rieter seeks a Product Manager for Automation in Winterthur to define product strategy and support global sales for complex spinning mill systems.
Positioned within the Machines & Systems business unit and the R&D Engineering department, this role focuses on guiding automation products from concept through their entire lifecycle. The position bridges technical engineering with commercial strategy to deliver fully automated spinning mill solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist the worldwide sales team with technical-commercial clarification, solution definition, and value-based selling for complex, customer-specific automation projects.
- Establish and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for automation systems, aiming toward fully automated spinning mills.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to develop competitive automation solutions.
- Perform market and competitor analyses to inform portfolio management and investment choices.
- Serve as the Product Owner for PLM, managing automation products, engineered solutions, spare parts, and repair services throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, operations, sales, and service teams to ensure customer-focused delivery.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience in B2B technical sales, product management, or solution engineering for automation systems.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Fluent proficiency in both English and German.
- Willingness to travel globally as required.
