Mettler Toledo seeks a Product Manager for its CytoDirect cell counting portfolio in Nänikon, CH. The role involves managing the full product lifecycle, driving strategy, and collaborating with global teams to enhance sales and profitability.

Positioned within the Analytical Chemistry business unit, this mid-level role is dedicated to the CytoDirect cell counting product line. The primary objective is to manage the assigned portfolio to boost sales and profitability while simultaneously defining and developing new products that meet market needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle for the CytoDirect cell counting range, ensuring the products remain competitive and profitable.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and segmentation to uncover opportunities and define the addressable market potential.
  • Lead product strategy efforts, including enhancements, new developments, and the 4 Ps: product, place, positioning, and pricing.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases for new initiatives, covering market analysis, market requirements documents (MRD), pricing strategies, documentation, communication tools, and success metrics.
  • Establish and implement go-to-market and marketing strategies, including positioning, target customer identification, sales enablement tools, and global campaigns.
  • Coordinate with Market Organizations and MSG AnaChem to plan and support successful product launches.
  • Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert, providing support to sales teams, key customers, and third-level troubleshooting for technical or application issues.

Requirements

  • A higher degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product management within the life sciences or related sectors, preferably with a focus on instrument development.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Fluent communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel about 10 – 15%.

  • Advanced degree (MBA or relevant Master’s).
  • Strong communication, a problem-solving mindset, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • German language skills.
