Production Team Lead

Nolato Contour seeks a Production Team Lead for its Swiss facility to manage shift operations, oversee operator training, and ensure compliance with medical manufacturing standards.

This position supports the injection molding and assembly of plastic and silicone components for medical and pharmaceutical clients. The successful candidate will manage 12-hour day and night shifts, focusing on operational efficiency, team coordination, and strict adherence to quality protocols.

Responsibilities

• Generate work orders for product rework or inspection tasks.
• Address disciplinary matters among staff members.
• Conduct Gemba Walks to identify issues and apply problem-solving methods for continuous improvement.
• Make timely decisions to reduce machine downtime.
• Allocate tasks to operators, including job rotations based on individual skill sets.
• Track and document operator attendance records.
• Coordinate personnel coverage to allow operators to attend LAL training sessions.
• Oversee the orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training of operators as directed by the Value Stream Manager.
• Perform visual inspections on manual machines or alongside new hires.
• Collaborate with other shifts to ensure adequate operator coverage for vacations and training.
• Communicate production updates and support needs across all shifts.
• Partner with the Lead Technician to manage shift operations.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 14000 policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a production environment is mandatory.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, along with basic mathematical skills.
• Ambitious, quality-focused, and self-motivated individual capable of working effectively in a team.
• Demonstrated record of good attendance.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
