Project Leader - cobas ultra integrated solutions

Senior Project Leader role at Roche in Rotkreuz, CH, responsible for delivering the Diagnostics Strategy within the Core Lab business area and leading the development of large-scale cobas ultra integrated solutions.

The company is seeking a senior leader to drive the Diagnostics Strategy within its Core Lab business area. In this position, you will serve as a cross-functional leader on the Automation Lifecycle Leadership Team, taking full accountability for the successful delivery of large-scale cobas ultra integrated solutions from concept to launch.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global product development strategy from the initial concept through to market launch.
• Ensure the availability, quality, cost-efficiency, and overall success of cobas ultra modular integrated solutions by meeting all predefined milestones.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams and Squads across multiple sites.
• Convert customer and business requirements into actionable priorities for the project team.
• Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks to overcome challenges.
• Approve and oversee budgets, timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and resource allocation to achieve project goals.
• Facilitate technical discussions on architecture, technology solutions, and development plans with internal and external partners.

Requirements

• Over six years of experience managing complex modular solutions, including software development and product launches.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating effectively within global environments.
• Deep expertise in systems design, technology stacks, and large-scale modular architectures.
• Strong intercultural sensitivity and adaptability, with a proven track record of working with Japanese stakeholders.
• Advanced skills in communication, planning, decision-making, and influencing.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with diagnostics industry practices, lifecycle processes, and global trends.
