Project Management Team Leader

RMIT Professional Resources AG seeks a Senior Project Management Team Leader in Zürich for a hybrid contract role, focusing on team leadership, strategic stakeholder engagement, and portfolio oversight.

The company is looking for an experienced leader to guide a team of project managers and coordinate their work. This position involves preparing management updates, engaging with key stakeholders across various business functions, and ensuring the project portfolio aligns with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise team members and coordinate their project activities, including preparing materials for steering committee meetings and other executive updates.
• Handle strategic stakeholder engagement across business, technology, safety, security, and travel departments.
• Oversee the project portfolio pipeline and resource planning, participating in quarterly reviews with CFIT.
• Evaluate incoming project requests, challenge proposals when necessary, and assist in creating strong business cases.
• Execute specific projects as needed, such as benefit realization assessments and related management recommendations.
• Contribute to broader project management efforts and participate in service management leadership discussions and departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Five to seven years of project management experience in a comparable setting.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including managing teams and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities and a service delivery mindset.
• Experience in preparing structured, management-level presentations and synthesizing recommendations.
• Fluent English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as PMI, PRINCE2, or IPMA.
• German language skills.
