Project Manager R&D and Global Engineering (m/w/d)*

SCHOTT Pharma Switzerland seeks a Project Manager for R&D and Global Engineering in St. Gallen. The role leads complex development projects from study to launch, managing scope, budget, and cross-functional teams.

This position is responsible for steering intricate development and customer initiatives through their entire lifecycle, starting with initial feasibility studies and concluding with market release. The manager ensures that all projects meet defined standards for quality, budget, and target costs while acting as the primary liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex development and customer projects from initial studies through to market launch.
• Ensure successful project delivery regarding scope, quality, budget, and target cost.
• Guide and lead cross-functional project teams.
• Represent the project and report to stakeholders, steering committees and top management up to board level.
• Translate content between technical and business colleagues.
• Willing to travel up to 30 % internationally.

Requirements

• University degree in Life Science or Engineering.
• 4+ years of project management experience, ideally in product/process development of medical devices or pharmaceutical packaging.
• Experience in working with multidisciplinary project teams in complex organizations and the ability to guide team members.
• Knowledge of design control processes, process validation and related standards (21 CFR 820; ISO 13485; ISO 15378).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and German (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Capability to master the big picture but also technical details when required.
• Strategic mindset and business acumen with a structured working style and ability to prioritize.
