Quality Inspector, 1st Shift

Beyond Gravity seeks a Mid-level Quality Inspector for its Zürich site. The role focuses on executing inspection plans, ensuring equipment calibration, and managing nonconformance processes within an advanced manufacturing environment.

This position serves as a key link between quality assurance and production teams. The primary purpose is to prepare detailed inspection plans and checklists, ensuring that all manufacturing activities adhere to strict quality standards and process requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with production and quality departments to develop inspection plans and checklists.
  • Carry out inspections and document results using approved methods, systems, and frequencies.
  • Operate precision measurement tools to verify that products meet quality specifications.
  • Maintain metrology equipment calibration through database management and proper item quarantining.
  • Record nonconformances in relevant systems and applications.
  • Assist in analyzing the root causes of nonconformances and implementing corrective actions.
  • Adhere to established timeframes and process protocols for all duties.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree combined with at least three years of experience in quality or mission assurance.
  • Three to five years of hands-on experience as a quality inspector within advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspect, test, and measure materials and finished products.
  • Strong technical planning capabilities and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and clear communication with interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Solid understanding of processes, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards.
  • Experience handling non-conforming products and conducting root cause analysis for corrective actions.
  • Ability to work with various platform programs across production, integration, and testing phases.
  • Flexibility to work modified or alternative shifts when business needs dictate.
  • Commitment to accurate identification and documentation of all quality-related data.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in the composite component industry.
