The Quality Raw Material Specialist at Groupe la prairie in Berneck ensures raw material quality standards, manages supplier evaluations, and supports continuous improvement within the quality management system.
This position sits within the Quality Team at Swiss Cosmetics Production (SCP), a subsidiary of the La Prairie Group based in Berneck. The role is central to maintaining strict quality benchmarks for incoming materials and fostering ongoing enhancements in the quality management framework.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the Raw Material Management System
- Conduct supplier assessments and evaluations
- Perform risk assessments to prevent quality problems
- Qualify, audit, and monitor suppliers for compliance
- Oversee incoming goods inspection, including sampling and GLP-compliant testing
- Lead root cause analysis for deviations and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with GMP (ISO 22716), GLP, and regulatory standards
- Support and lead internal and external audits
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, and external partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment (cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and quality management tools
- Strong analytical skills and a structured work style
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Fluent English and at least B2-level German in both written and spoken forms
Nice to have
- Solid knowledge of ISO 22716 is considered a strong advantage
