Arrakis, a remote-first DeFi company based in Zürich, seeks a Mid-level Quantitative Analyst to develop automated market-making strategies and drive liquidity for web3 projects. The role involves research, client engagement, and collaboration with engineers and data scientists in a fast-paced environment.
Arrakis is building infrastructure to revolutionize on-chain market making, aiming to create a token economy that outperforms traditional finance. The Quantitative Analyst will play a key role by researching DeFi innovations, developing proof-of-concepts for market-making strategies, and managing client relationships to enhance liquidity provisioning.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leading DeFi projects to improve their on-chain liquidity solutions
- Stay current with advancements in quantitative finance, blockchain, and Web3 to adapt market-making approaches (e.g., Uniswap v3/v4)
- Work with software engineers, data scientists, and business development to design and deliver market-making services
- Manage client relationships by monitoring market-making operations and addressing custom client needs
- Explore new DeFi protocols and trends, and build proof-of-concepts for next-generation market-making tools
- Aggregate and analyze data to support strategic decisions, create internal reports, and develop solutions for better liquidity provision
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in trading, quantitative finance, or market making (preferred)
- Background in quantitative analysis and data science, ideally with on-chain data or DeFi experience
- Active user of DeFi protocols on a daily or weekly basis
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Rust
- Some hands-on software development experience in a quantitative finance context
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, target-driven environments
- Strong communication skills for client relationship management and cross-functional collaboration
- Highly organized with excellent time management and a proactive mindset
- Skilled in presenting to diverse stakeholder groups
Nice to have
- Experience programming in Rust
- Familiarity with Dune Analytics
- Prior experience working within a successful DeFi protocol
