Quant Developer DeFi - Digital Assets

IMC is seeking a mid-level Quant Developer for its DeFi team in Zug to design trading algorithms and DeFi connectivity solutions.

The company is growing its DeFi group to create algorithms that support trading operations. This small, adaptable team works across various projects, allowing developers to tailor their responsibilities to their specific strengths while navigating the fast-evolving digital asset space.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to build competitive trading algorithms and platforms.
• Create and deploy advanced trade execution and connectivity systems.
• Investigate DeFi protocols through on-chain data analysis and strategy evaluation.
• Monitor and track the latest developments within DeFi protocols.

Requirements

• Strong background in applied mathematics, statistics, and numerical modeling.
• Solid understanding of cryptocurrency markets.
• Coding skills in at least one blockchain language like golang, rust, solidity, or move.
• Experience working in a Linux R&D setting with git and similar tools.
• Capacity to conduct independent research.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Background in blockchain analytics, DeFi protocols, or MEV.
• Conceptual or programming-level expertise in specific blockchains.
• Prior experience in quantitative trading environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the EVM or other blockchain ecosystems.
• Skills in smart contract design and development.
• Familiarity with cryptography libraries, digital signatures, and hash algorithms.
