Terre des hommes Foundation Lausanne seeks a Senior Regional Health and WaSH Coordinator for its Asia Hub. This onsite role focuses on strategic implementation, quality assurance, and partnership development across multiple countries.

This position supports the organization's decentralization strategy and Strategy 2025–2028, which aims to align operations more closely with children and communities. The coordinator will help maintain a lean, flexible, and resilient regional structure while driving program quality and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the execution of regional Health and WaSH strategies.
  • Oversee project quality and ensure regional impact aligns with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and quality assurance support to country-level teams.
  • Track regional trends, needs, and operational indicators to monitor performance.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts, proposal writing, and engaging with donors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with governments, donors, NGOs, academic institutions, and private sector partners.
  • Foster innovation, learning, research, and collaboration across different countries.
  • Represent the organization in regional forums, networks, and advocacy activities.
  • Manage recruitment and functional oversight for Health and WaSH coordinators and managers at the country level.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Health, WaSH, or a related medical/public health discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Health and/or WaSH programming with INGOs, NGOs, UN agencies, or similar entities in Asia.
  • Strong technical expertise in WaSH, digital health, maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition, and health systems strengthening.
  • Prior experience in regional advisory or coordination roles spanning multiple countries.
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Legal eligibility to work in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, or Myanmar.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of local languages spoken in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, or Myanmar.
  • Significant experience in developing partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and mobilizing resources.
  • A proven track record in partnership development, resource mobilization, and proposal writing.
