cinfo seeks a Senior Technical Advisor to lead high-impact agriculture or health projects in Rwanda and Uganda, reporting directly to the CEO.
This senior position combines strategic oversight with direct field engagement to drive development initiatives in East Africa. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, providing technical leadership for programmes in either the agricultural or health sectors while ensuring rigorous project delivery and stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic guidance and technical direction for agriculture or health initiatives.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, including design, execution, monitoring, and evaluation, specifically within Rwanda and Uganda.
- Guarantee that all activities meet deadlines, stay within budget, and adhere to donor regulations.
- Coach local staff and enhance the operational capabilities of partner organizations.
- Advise executive leadership on programme strategy, market trends, and new opportunities.
- Cultivate and sustain partnerships with government bodies, funding agencies, NGOs, private entities, and community groups.
- Spot potential funding sources and assist in writing proposals to secure resources.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in agriculture, public health, medicine, international development, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive experience managing international development programmes.
- Proven track record of implementing projects in Africa, with specific focus on Rwanda and/or Uganda.
- Experience collaborating with major bilateral or multilateral donors, including USAID, the EU, World Bank, African Development Bank, Gates Foundation, or UN agencies.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- PhD qualification.
- Proficiency in French.
