Senior Advisor – Training, Capacity Development & Locally Led Action (80%)

cinfo seeks a Senior Advisor to lead strategic development in Career & Capacity Development and Locally Led Action, designing workshops and advisory services for international cooperation stakeholders.

This position supports cinfo's mission as the Swiss competence centre for labour market issues in international cooperation. The role focuses on strengthening the organisation's capacity in career and capacity development while advancing locally led action through strategic advisory and service design.

Responsibilities

• Shape the strategic direction and service offerings for the Career & Capacity Development thematic area.
• Create and facilitate workshops, learning sessions, and advisory formats tailored to individuals, teams, and organisations.
• Innovate service solutions that address the changing needs of the international cooperation sector and its actors.
• Drive the strategic evolution of the Locally Led Action (LLA) focus area within the organisation.
• Design, test, and promote shared services that help organisations refine their strategies, structures, and methods in alignment with LLA principles.
• Provide advisory support to organisations navigating organisational development and transformation processes related to LLA, including facilitating participatory workshops and dialogue sessions.
• Track and analyse emerging trends in LLA to inform the creation of innovative services and practical tools.
• Identify and cultivate new partnerships, advisory engagements, and projects, while securing funding for new initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven operational experience in international cooperation, engaging with diverse stakeholders across various roles, preferably with international work exposure.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and facilitating participatory workshops, learning processes, and dialogue formats.
• Strong grasp of current trends and discussions in international cooperation labour markets, locally led action, localisation, and Global South–Global North partnerships.
• Experience in strategically positioning new products or services and in fundraising activities.
• Fluency in English, plus proficiency in French and/or German.
• A university degree.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in French or German (if not already required) is beneficial.
• Additional training in organisational development, coaching, leadership, facilitation, adult education, or consultancy.
