The company seeks a Responsible Sourcing Data Analyst in Bellevue, CH, to analyze ESG and supplier data, develop KPIs, and support strategic sourcing decisions through data-driven insights.
Reporting to the Responsible Sourcing Data & Tools Project Manager, this position focuses on extracting actionable insights from large ESG and supplier datasets. The role translates complex information into clear trends and recommendations to guide strategic business decisions and build a resilient management system for the Group.
Responsibilities
- Integrate data from multiple sources into department applications using automation tools to streamline processes.
- Collect information from databases, data warehouses, APIs, and external datasets.
- Develop and maintain automated data collection workflows where applicable.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to spot patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Apply statistical methods and data modeling techniques to address business questions.
- Create and execute queries to extract and manipulate data for analysis.
- Design, develop, and maintain in-house applications, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
- Monitor performance, identify optimization areas, and implement enhancements for usability and scalability.
- Document and record all developments.
- Present complex data findings clearly and concisely to various audiences.
- Support the project manager in establishing and enforcing data governance policies.
- Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency for dashboards and reports.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Collaborate with Responsible Sourcing experts to understand business requirements and update dashboards.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users of sourcing dashboards and tools.
- Support the team in developing supply chain ESG key metrics aligned with sustainability frameworks like GRI standards, CSRD, and CSDDD.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a data analysis role.
- Proven experience with data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Looker.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, and data modeling.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Ability to identify root causes of problems and propose data-driven solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of business processes and the ability to connect data insights to business objectives.
- Curiosity and a proactive approach to understanding business challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
