Responsible Sourcing Intern 80-100%

Lonza seeks a Responsible Sourcing Intern in Basel to support decarbonization and sustainability projects. This full-time role involves data management, cross-functional collaboration, and creating training materials for procurement teams.

This internship provides hands-on experience with strategic Responsible Sourcing initiatives, focusing on the intersection of climate change, sustainability, and decarbonization. The position is tailored for individuals interested in learning how responsible sourcing practices generate tangible business value.

Responsibilities

• Assist with key Responsible Sourcing initiatives, including supply chain mapping, category strategy development, and supply decarbonization efforts.
• Maintain and update data within digital platforms such as EcoVadis and Green Project.
• Coordinate procurement webinars and internal team meetings, including summarizing key discussion points and monitoring action items.
• Work closely with procurement buyers and various business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Create and implement training resources aimed at building team capabilities.
• Draft reports, documentation, and presentation decks for leadership reviews.
• Handle administrative duties and coordination tasks while applying a continuous improvement approach.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program, preferably in Sustainability, Climate, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and stay organized.
• Capacity to work autonomously while balancing academic responsibilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
