This internship sits within the Financial Services Organisation, a unique Big 4 specialist integrated across Europe West. The team leads risk advisory in Switzerland and the region, assisting clients in adapting to shifting regulations. The Prudential Risk group collaborates with a wide range of financial entities, from global banks to regional insurers and private banks.
Responsibilities
- Utilize banking and financial product risk management expertise.
- Conduct focused regulatory audits for finance clients alongside regulators like FINMA.
- Develop insights into financial risks (credit, liquidity, interest rate) and non-financial risks (operational resilience).
- Join advisory projects centered on regulatory and supervisory issues.
- Explore emerging risk fields such as data analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree (Master's, MBA, PhD) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
- Strong desire to engage in regulatory audits within cross-functional teams, focusing on financial and non-financial risks.
- Foundational knowledge of financial services risk management and regulations, including the Basel framework and FINMA circulars, with a keen interest in deepening this expertise.
- High motivation, adaptability, and self-direction to continuously learn and gain new competencies.
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory; German proficiency is a plus.
- Possession of a Swiss work permit or eligibility to obtain one (e.g., via EU citizenship).

- Initial exposure to financial services, consulting, or assurance, ideally with a risk management focus.
- Practical or academic background in financial services risk domains (e.g., credit, liquidity, interest, operational, compliance risks).
