Senior Backend Engineer - Golang (f/m/d)

SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG seeks a Senior Backend Engineer in Zürich to build and maintain Go services for tutti.ch and anibis.ch in a hybrid Agile team.

This position supports the Backend Team responsible for the online marketplaces tutti.ch and anibis.ch. The role operates within a cross-functional Agile squad that includes Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Designers, and Mobile/Web Engineers, while collaborating closely with Platform and Data teams to deliver high-impact technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy, and monitor backend services.
• Run Go-based backend services on AWS with Kubernetes.
• Deploy daily to over 300k users.
• Code is reviewed and deployed directly from GitHub.
• Maintain high test coverage using tools like Testify, with integration tests for databases, Redis, and Kafka.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Golang and strongly typed languages in complex settings, including building and delivering web services.
• A track record of at least 5 years making high-impact technical decisions and driving project outcomes.
• Positive attitude and passion for craft.
