MET Group seeks a Senior Business Analyst / IT Project Manager in Baar, CH, to coordinate between Front Office, operations, and IT for the Endur ETRM system, driving process standardization and digital transformation in Sales & Trading.
This position acts as the primary liaison between the Front Office, operational support teams, and IT departments. The role is responsible for ensuring operational readiness for new products, standardizing processes, and leading the digital transformation of the Sales & Trading landscape. It serves as the central accountability point for coordination, reporting, and lifecycle governance across divisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-of-day processing, including validations, position/risk availability, and P&L delivery from Endur and linked systems.
- Guarantee data completeness, timeliness, and integrity throughout the entire trade lifecycle.
- Serve as the escalation point for production incidents impacting trade capture, pricing curves, settlements, risk reporting, and valuation.
- Focus on root-cause remediation instead of temporary workarounds.
- Collaborate with Trading and Divisional IT teams to assess operational readiness for STS-related structures in Endur.
- Ensure the Front Office can book and risk-manage new structures in a controlled and supportable manner for STS transactions.
- Represent S&T users when product, data model, interface, or workflow changes are proposed.
- Translate trading and business needs into structured IT demands with clear business justification and operational impact.
- Define and enforce golden-source logic for positions, curves, reference data, and book hierarchy.
- Maintain consistency of processes and controls across books, desks, and regions.
- Sponsor and drive automation and straight-through processing initiatives within and around Endur for STS.
- Ensure Endur and S&T architecture enhancements are adopted, documented, and supported in operations.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in energy trading, operations, or ETRM support.
- Direct exposure to the front-to-back trade lifecycle in power, gas, emissions, certificates, structured products, or similar.
- Strong understanding of trading products, deal lifecycle, and related processes.
- Hands-on experience with Endur.
- Understanding of deal setup, portfolio/book structures, reference data, curves, market data setup, Endur workflows, and EoD batch/reporting chains.
- Ability to challenge both Front Office and IT.
- Proven experience bridging business and IT, ideally in a hybrid operations/BA role.
- Able to translate trading asks into system change requirements.
- Able to translate system constraints back into commercial/risk language.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to drive alignment between Front Office urgency and control/governance requirements.
- Familiarity with process improvement and digital transformation methodologies.
- Comfort working with automation, workflow tooling, dashboarding, data quality/data lineage topics.
- Track record in standardizing, documenting, and scaling operational processes.
