MET Group seeks an Operations Lead for Sales & Trading in Baar, Switzerland, to coordinate between front office, operations, and IT while ensuring operational readiness and process standardization within the Endur environment.
This position acts as the primary liaison and accountability hub connecting the Front Office, operational support teams, and IT departments. The incumbent is responsible for guaranteeing that business priorities are executed smoothly, new products are operationally ready, and the Sales & Trading landscape undergoes continuous digital transformation and standardization.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-of-day procedures, including validations, position and risk data availability, and P&L reporting from Endur and associated systems.
- Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of data throughout the entire trade lifecycle.
- Serve as the main escalation contact for production issues impacting trade capture, pricing curves, settlement data, risk reporting, and valuation.
- Focus on identifying and resolving root causes of incidents rather than applying temporary workarounds.
- Evaluate and support operational readiness for Endur structures related to STS.
- Ensure that the Front Office can book and manage risk for new structures in a controlled and supportable manner for STS transactions.
- Represent the interests of S&T users when evaluating proposed system changes.
- Convert trading and business requirements into structured IT demands with clear justification and operational impact analysis.
- Establish and maintain golden-source logic for positions, curves, reference data, and book hierarchies.
- Maintain consistent processes and controls across all books, desks, and regions.
- Lead automation and straight-through processing initiatives within and around the Endur environment for STS.
- Verify that enhancements in Endur and the broader S&T architecture are successfully implemented in daily operations.
Requirements
- Seven to ten years of experience in energy trading, operations, or ETRM support.
- Direct exposure to the front-to-back trade lifecycle in sectors such as power, gas, emissions, certificates, or structured products.
- Deep understanding of trading products, deal lifecycles, and associated processes.
- Practical, hands-on experience with the Endur platform.
- Knowledge of deal setup, portfolio and book structures, reference data, curves, market data configuration, Endur workflows, and end-of-day batch or reporting chains.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge business and IT, preferably in a hybrid operations or business analysis role.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with process improvement and digital transformation methodologies.
