Entyre seeks a Senior Operations Engineer in Zürich to bridge manual processes and automated systems. The role involves owning CRM evolution, building integrations, and eliminating repetitive work through automation and tooling.
This position serves as the critical link between disorganized manual tasks and streamlined, automated infrastructure. The successful candidate will transform ambiguous operational challenges into functional systems by designing architectures, evaluating build-versus-buy options, and implementing robust solutions. The role demands significant autonomy and broad ownership over operational technology.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the core CRM platform, including data models, internal workflows, data quality, and administration.
- Ensure operational data remains clean and well-structured to support reporting in business intelligence tools.
- Oversee the entire customer journey, ensuring consistent tracking of every touchpoint across different business units.
- Develop integrations across the technology stack, connecting e-commerce, logistics, telephony, and CRM systems.
- Automate operational triggers and handovers, such as online orders initiating fulfillment and shipping processes.
- Evaluate third-party platforms against in-house scripts, making build-versus-buy decisions based on fit, cost, maintainability, and scalability.
- Identify and eliminate repetitive, error-prone manual work across teams through automation and tooling.
- Create scalable solutions that function effectively today and can grow with the business.
- Onboard, train, and support users across multiple teams to ensure system adoption.
- Maintain systems, workflows, and data reliability, traceability, and future-proofing.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on CRM experience, preferably with HubSpot, covering data models, workflows, integrations, and administration.
- Proven experience building integrations and APIs connecting business systems like e-commerce, logistics, telephony, and communication tools.
- Practical experience with low-code workflow automation platforms such as n8n.
- Coding proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python to develop maintainable scripts and internal tools.
- Strong judgment in evaluating third-party tools against in-house solutions.
- Keen instinct for data structure and integrity to keep operational data clean enough to power analytics and reporting.
- 5+ years in business systems, process automation, operations engineering, or a similar systems-owning role.
- Comfortable across more than one business model, including service and e-commerce operations.
- Experience in startup or scale-up environments, thriving in fast-moving, ambiguous situations.
- Track record of improving operations in dynamic, complex workflows (call centers, service teams, case handling, order operations, or comparable).
- Fluent in English.
Nice to have
- German language skills are a strong plus.
What the company offers
- Autonomy and ownership to drive change without waiting for a roadmap.
- The chance to turn messy workflows into smooth-running systems with real business impact.
