Baer AG seeks an Execution Management Support Specialist in Zürich to provide real-time trading desk support, troubleshoot EMS/OMS systems, and maintain stable connectivity across multiple asset classes.
This position focuses on ensuring smooth trade execution by offering immediate assistance with order routing and resolving technical disruptions. The specialist collaborates with traders, internal technology groups, and outside partners to keep trading connections reliable and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Deliver immediate assistance with order routing, execution hurdles, and trade flow for equity, fixed income, structured products, crypto, and multi-asset desks.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults within EMS/OMS platforms such as TradeSmart, MarketAxess, TSOX, Bloomberg, and TradeWeb.
- Examine FIX messages, map order paths, and pinpoint underlying causes of issues.
- Partner with traders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure stable trading connectivity.
- Assist with basic scripting or programming tasks to automate routing, implement checks and analyse logs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, Information Technology, or any related field.
- Experience in trading support or electronic execution workflows.
- Strong understanding of FIX protocol and order routing mechanics.
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, Bash).
- Familiarity with electronic trading platforms: TradeSmart, MarketAxess, TSOX, Bloomberg EMSX/TOMS, TradeWeb.
- Good understanding of market microstructure and electronic execution workflows.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
Nice to have
- Financial engineering or programming.
- Solid understanding of Temenos T24 is a big plus (architecture and business workflows).
- FIX certification and CFA or similar would be a nice-to-have.
- German would be a nice-to-have.
