Senior CAE Expert

Neuralconcept in Lausanne seeks a Senior CAE Expert to lead simulation workflows for automotive and consumer electronics clients. The role involves developing end-to-end solutions on their AI-powered platform, with a hybrid work model and competitive benefits.

Neuralconcept accelerates the engineering simulation cycle using AI. The Vertical Solutions team creates production-ready, domain-specific solutions for customers. As a Senior CAE Expert, you will own the simulation workflows, benchmarks, and solution assets that are central to the company’s offerings, directly impacting engineering processes at leading automotive OEMs and consumer electronics firms.

Responsibilities

• Manage vertical solution assets end-to-end, including designing simulation workflows, validation benchmarks, and templates for automotive structural analysis and consumer electronics durability.
• Optimize the full simulation pipeline by integrating it with Neuralconcept’s AI platform.
• Develop Python automation and tools for data preprocessing, solution packaging, and workflow integration.
• Contribute to the product roadmap by collaborating with Product and Engineering teams based on field insights.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of practical FEA simulation experience in automotive or consumer electronics sectors.
• Advanced knowledge of major mechanical simulation tools including ABAQUS, LS-Dyna, Radioss, Hypermesh, Simlab, ANSA, Meta, and d3plot.
• Strong understanding of structural non-linear simulation, including implicit/explicit solvers, contact methods, material models, and failure criteria.
• Proven experience in automotive safety simulations or product durability testing.
• Experience managing complete simulation workflows from CAD preparation to meshing, solving, post-processing, and visualization.
• Programming skills in Python (preferred), with additional value placed on C++, Java, or C#.
• Ability to independently manage deliverables and clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted simulation acceleration, design optimization, or automated parametric studies.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development environments/IDEs, including basic CI for validating templates and scripts.
• Proficiency in using HPC and cloud resources, including deploying GPU-accelerated simulations.
