Synpulse seeks a Senior Consultant or Manager for Regulatory Compliance in Zürich. The role involves advising financial institutions on Swiss and international regulations, managing projects, and driving compliance transformations.
The company engages with major financial institutions to help them navigate complex regulatory landscapes. In this position, you will act as a trusted advisor throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial analysis and strategy formulation to implementation and validation. The goal is to assist clients in building robust compliance frameworks, optimizing their internal processes, and maintaining adherence to evolving legal standards.
Responsibilities
- Guide client projects focused on regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Interpret Swiss and global regulatory mandates and convert them into practical solutions.
- Oversee project workstreams to guarantee high-quality outcomes.
- Foster and sustain strong relationships with banking sector clients.
- Participate in business development activities and assist in preparing proposals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams spanning business and technology domains.
- Monitor ongoing regulatory changes and industry trends.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience for Senior Consultant or 6–9+ years for Manager roles in regulatory compliance, preferably within Swiss banking.
- Deep understanding of Swiss financial market regulations, including FINMA guidelines, AML, and KYC procedures.
- Demonstrated success in project management and engaging with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
- An entrepreneurial approach with a genuine interest in business development.
- Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
- An advanced degree such as an MA, MSc, MBA, or equivalent qualification.
