Senior IT Project Manager

Saab Bofors Dynamics Switzerland Ltd seeks a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex IT infrastructure projects and change initiatives in the UK, ensuring delivery against quality and governance standards.

As part of Saab's expansion in the UK, this position focuses on the technical management of IT projects. The role requires planning, coordinating, and executing assigned workstreams under senior leadership to support broader IT change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure and change projects from start to finish.
• Create and update project schedules while aligning resources with internal departments and external vendors.
• Monitor daily project progress, identifying and escalating risks, issues, and dependencies as needed.
• Verify that all deliverables comply with established quality and governance protocols.
• Track budgets, forecast costs, and manage change control processes.
• Work closely with technical teams to orchestrate IT changes across various infrastructure environments.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and provide regular, clear status updates.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned projects or specific workstreams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT roles with exposure to the complete project lifecycle.
• Background in delivering or supporting IT projects involving Infrastructure, Networking, Windows, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, or IT security.
• Solid technical understanding suitable for structured or secure IT environments.
• Proficiency with project planning and tracking software.
• Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
• Knowledge of project governance frameworks and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Skill in building effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
