Engineering Coordinator

Saab Bofors Dynamics Switzerland Ltd seeks a Senior Engineering Coordinator to lead specialized engineering teams, ensuring operational effectiveness, timely delivery, and strategic alignment in the aerospace or defense sector.

This position focuses on the coordination and supervision of a dedicated group of engineers. The primary goal is to maintain continuous development, ensure operational efficiency, and guarantee that projects are delivered on schedule while adhering to budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the engineering team's growth and performance, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting professional development.
• Organize and manage project activities, ensuring resources are allocated correctly and all deadlines and budgetary limits are met.
• Track key performance indicators, team capacity, delivery quality, and potential risks to drive continuous improvement.
• Handle administrative duties for staff, such as managing travel, attendance, and expense reports in compliance with company policies.
• Align daily team operations with the broader strategic and operational goals of the organization.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least five years of experience leading engineering teams, ideally within sensor and electronic system maintenance for aerospace or defense industries.
• Fluent proficiency in both Portuguese and English, capable of technical and conversational communication.

Nice to have

• A postgraduate degree or MBA in Management or a related field.
• Familiarity with sensors, weather radars, on-board radars, and electronic warfare systems.
• Experience in process modeling, defining and monitoring performance indicators, and using project management tools for planning and resource allocation.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle pressure and manage multiple priorities.
