Senior Legal Counsel

Kanadevia Inova seeks a Senior Legal Counsel in Zürich to oversee global corporate governance, support M&A activities, and provide legal advice across departments within the waste infrastructure sector.

As a global innovation leader in waste infrastructure, Kanadevia Inova focuses on transforming discarded materials into valuable resources like energy, heat, hydrogen, and fertilizer. This senior legal position plays a key role in supporting the company’s sustainable mission by ensuring robust corporate governance and legal compliance across its international operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the group’s corporate structure and governance activities across various jurisdictions.
• Ensure all group entities adhere to internal and external corporate governance standards.
• Maintain precise corporate records and handle the drafting, review, and filing of necessary documentation.
• Create and update corporate governance policies, as well as group-wide procedures.
• Assist with mergers and acquisitions, including the integration of newly acquired companies.
• Provide legal guidance and contract support to departments such as Sales, Business Development, Engineering, IT, HR, Finance, and Procurement.
• Advise and train directors and staff on their legal obligations and governance responsibilities.
• Manage paralegals, identify potential legal risks, and prepare reports on corporate activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
• Minimum of 8 years of in-house legal experience, with a focus on commercial law, corporate law, and governance.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Additional relevant degrees or professional certifications.
• Prior experience in the engineering or construction industry.
• Familiarity with Swiss corporate law, governance models, and legal entity management tools.
• Knowledge of German or other European languages.
