Tecan Group AG seeks a Senior Manager to oversee Key Account OEM product operations in Switzerland, managing the full product lifecycle and serving as the primary liaison for major clients.
This position serves as the central operational hub for Tecan’s IVD & Life Sciences Partnering Business, specifically focusing on Key Account OEM customer products. The role ensures seamless execution from late-stage development through market launch and into long-term supply, acting as the main interface between external partners and internal departments such as R&D, Quality, and Regulatory affairs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operational contact for Key Account clients, representing their interests from initial development through end-of-life stages.
- Manage the operational lifecycle of existing products, ensuring compliance, documentation accuracy, customer satisfaction, and financial targets are met.
- Lead quarterly business reviews, quality assessments, and internal steering meetings, often involving executive stakeholders.
- Advise clients on design updates, regulatory shifts, and global or local events that may impact their business operations.
- Oversee budgeting, sales forecasting, and contract adherence for assigned accounts.
- Monitor product profitability and collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvement strategies.
- Direct the Product Care Team for designated product families, tracking critical KPIs and reporting performance to both clients and internal management.
- Initiate corrective actions when KPIs fall short, coordinating cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Foster innovation in current products and guide the development of follow-on solutions aligned with client needs.
- Provide guidance to cross-functional teams and identify opportunities to enhance internal processes.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion principles within the team and the wider organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, or Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of experience in complex system development, system sales support, or product lifecycle management.
- Proven track record of working with B2B customers or partners.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or managing complex products involving hardware, software, and services.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong persuasive abilities, natural authority, and adaptability to rapidly changing market conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and customer-focused with a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 10–20% of the time.
Nice to have
- Advanced education in Product Management, Project Management, or Business Administration.
- Background in liquid handling, robotics, clinical diagnostics, or life sciences.
- Prior experience with OEM partnerships.
- Expertise in negotiating complex development and supply agreements.
- Proficiency in German.
- Experience presenting and communicating with executive leadership.
