Senior Oracle DBA

J. Safra Sarasin seeks a Senior Oracle DBA to manage global database operations, ensure high availability for critical banking applications, and drive infrastructure improvements through automation and optimization.

The company is looking for an experienced database professional to oversee the Oracle environment on a global scale. This role ensures that critical banking applications receive high-level storage services and remains responsible for the ongoing support, troubleshooting, and evolution of the underlying infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, including troubleshooting and handling incidents.
• Execute change requests following established protocols and procedures.
• Analyze application lifecycle management to propose and implement resource optimization strategies.
• Develop and deploy automated solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Support migration projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of existing infrastructure.
• Perform recovery exercises and provide second-level support, including participation in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• A university degree or equivalent higher education in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in database engineering and operations.
• Proven expertise with both Oracle databases and PostgreSQL.
• Fluent command of the English language.

• Practical experience using Ansible for automation tasks.
• Fluency in German.
