HHJ BAU GmbH seeks a Senior Organizational Change Lead for global MES harmonization in Basel. This freelance, on-site role focuses on OCM strategy, team leadership, and transformation management within a GxP-compliant pharmaceutical environment.

The company is looking for an experienced professional to drive global organizational change management (OCM) strategies that support the harmonization of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and the broader digital transformation journey. The position requires leading OCM teams, embedding best practices across programs, and managing end-to-end transformation activities to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customized global OCM strategies to facilitate MES harmonization and digital transformation.
  • Guide and mentor OCM teams, integrating proven change management methodologies into all program and project activities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs, build trust, and secure buy-in for change initiatives.
  • Cultivate strong relationships to enable smooth implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Oversee comprehensive change management plans, including communication, training, and support strategies, to drive adoption.
  • Manage full-cycle transformation activities, ensuring alignment with program timelines and objectives.
  • Monitor change management progress and adjust strategies as needed for maximum effectiveness.
  • Benchmark against industry best practices, particularly in pharmaceutical and GxP-compliant environments, for ongoing enhancement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, assessing change-related risks and identifying opportunities to optimize outcomes.
  • Proactively address challenges, ensuring resources, timelines, and objectives align across global workstreams.
  • Champion change readiness and impact management to drive the adoption of new systems, processes, and behaviors.
  • Communicate transparently about progress and challenges, fostering organizational alignment and agile responsiveness to evolving needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Organizational Development, or Change Management.
  • Proven experience in change management within MES environments.
  • Experience leading and mentoring program and project teams, preferably in pharmaceutical production/manufacturing or GxP environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale programs and projects, including system deployments, with a strong focus on change management.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities on significant global change efforts, with excellent problem-solving skills and mature judgment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across multiple organizational levels.
  • Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment, with a track record of managing stakeholder expectations in a large corporate setting.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong awareness and ability to lead and work in multicultural teams, generating enthusiasm and driving commitment to excellence.

Nice to have

  • Strong written and verbal language skills in both English and German would be a big plus.
