Work Selection seeks a Senior Production Engineer for a 1-year onsite role in Rotkreuz, CH, supporting the Global Instrument Network with manufacturing improvements and regulatory compliance.
This temporary position, renewable after one year, supports the Global Instrument Network (GIN) by supplying instruments for in-vitro diagnostics. The team focuses on reducing manufacturing costs and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality instruments.
Responsibilities
- Plan, assess, and implement technical changes.
- Develop and update specification documents, test protocols, work instructions, and bills of materials.
- Track and communicate the status of Engineering Change Requests to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead smaller projects focused on continuous improvement or harmonization.
- Support development efforts by creating prototypes and evaluating manufacturability.
Requirements
- A technical degree from a university of applied sciences combined with certification as a state-certified technician in technology and automation.
- Hands-on experience in assembling, testing, handling complaints, and repairing medical diagnostic devices.
- Proven track record in transferring new projects to production and designing production lines.
- Experience in material management and coordinating the construction of breadboards and functional models for complex mechatronic systems within a GMP environment.
- Strong ability to coordinate complex processes, manage changes, and handle stakeholders.
- Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and spoken skills.

- Practical background in device assembly, electronics specialist work, or technical expertise.
- Prior experience working with regulated medical devices.
