Senior Software Engineer - Cards Experience EU

Perk Yokoy seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of its core card spending platform in the EU, focusing on scalable architecture and cross-team collaboration.

This position serves as a primary technical driver for the Spend domain, specifically enhancing the card spending experience for European users. The engineer will collaborate with peers across multiple European offices to navigate complex banking integrations and fund flows, ensuring the platform remains robust and user-centric.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full feature lifecycle, from identifying user needs to deployment and impact analysis.
• Define strategic priorities and contribute to long-term product vision and quarterly objectives.
• Design scalable systems and data models that prioritize performance, fault isolation, and maintainability.
• Facilitate alignment across diverse teams by communicating technical concepts clearly and driving consensus.
• Elevate team standards through mentorship, constructive feedback, and demonstrating best engineering practices.
• Produce high-quality production code and lead technical design efforts to ensure timely execution.

Requirements

• Translate business objectives into technical roadmaps and mitigate risks via prototyping.
• Architect flexible, scalable systems and data structures.
• Enforce engineering excellence, including CI/CD improvements, testing protocols, and coding standards.
• Establish frontend patterns for state management, performance, and testing.
• Build complex backend solutions involving API versioning, caching, and data migration.
• Lead SRE practices, including SLO definition, incident management, and post-mortems.
• Manage operational security, secrets hygiene, and dependency risks.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews to improve organizational capability.

• Experience or strong interest in modern AI-augmented development workflows.
