Senior Software Engineer - Finance Experience

Perk Yokoy seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Finance Experience team to build automated expense reconciliation systems. The role involves full-stack development, architectural leadership, and mentoring within a hybrid setup in Switzerland.

This position sits within the Finance Experience team, whose goal is to provide a fully automated, accurate, and effortless accounting experience for travel expense data. The engineer will help deliver systems that reconcile 100% of this data for every client, ensuring seamless integration and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack features covering employee reimbursements, expense capture, ERP integrations, supplier invoicing, and connections with third-party expense platforms.
• Contribute to squad quarterly goals and the long-term technical vision by helping define what to build and why.
• Create design documents for significant platform changes and actively manage technical debt.
• Communicate complex technical concepts across multiple teams to drive organizational alignment.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues through direct guidance, feedback during reviews, and by demonstrating high-quality engineering practices.
• Define and maintain engineering excellence, including CI/CD optimizations, testing strategies, and coding standards.
• Architect scalable and evolvable systems and data models that prioritize performance, failure isolation, and long-term maintenance.
• Establish frontend architecture patterns, including state management, performance budgets, and comprehensive testing.
• Engineer sophisticated backend solutions involving API versioning, caching strategies, and complex data migration plans.
• Lead observability and SRE practices, including defining SLOs, managing incident responses, and conducting blameless post-mortems.
• Oversee operational security, including secrets hygiene and dependency risk management.
• Coordinate multi-team deliverables and align stakeholders to resolve technical blockers across the organization.

Requirements

• Experience with or a strong interest in modern AI-augmented workflows, including leveraging agentic workflows and AI-powered code reviews.
